The challenge of renovation
The community determined early on that the boathouse would revert to them when the contract expired. Even though Nibbe has applied for a five-year extension, he sees financial difficulties facing the municipality, which is also expected to plan renovations for the kiosk and the toilets. These renovation-related costs will not be insignificant.
Another topic that goes unnoticed is noise pollution, for which Nibbe has already been reported once. An Irish folk band performing in the kiosk was the reason for the incident, but Nibbe never let the fun of making music stop him.

Jochen Nibbe is not only an entrepreneur, but also an active member of the pan-European party Volt, where he is involved in the district council. His kiosk is a popular meeting place for the community and is very popular.
