ERC Ingolstadt achieved a thrilling 6-4 win away against the Straubing Tigers, which not only caused cheers among the fans, but also a significant jump in the table. The Tigers came back in the middle period and equalized through Marcel Brandt in the 26th minute. Brandt scored again in the 30th minute from the power play. But Ingolstadt didn't let it get them down: Within just 71 seconds, Kenny Agostino and Peter Abbandonato turned the game in favor of the guests in the 33rd minute. Daniel Pietta increased the score to 4:2 shortly before the second break in the 39th minute.

In the final third, Straubing made it 4-3 in the 51st minute through Elis Hede before the Tigers took their goalkeeper off the ice in favor of an additional field player in the final phase. Myles Powell secured the decisive goal for Ingolstadt in the 59th minute to make it 5:4. The subsequent goals from Abbandonato and Linus Brandl were only of a statistical nature, but it still shows Ingolstadt's offensive, which gives us optimism for the coming games.
