On Tuesday afternoon, a 42-year-old in the Dillingen an der Donau district suffered a tragic traffic accident that cost her her life. According to information from idowa.de, the woman drove her car into the opposite lane shortly before Burghagel and collided head-on with the vehicle of a 58-year-old. The intensity of the collision was devastating and the person who caused the accident died at the scene.
Other road users were also injured as a result of the accident. The 58-year-old suffered serious injuries and had to be flown to a clinic in a rescue helicopter. A 34-year-old driver who was driving behind the 58-year-old was slightly injured and escaped with shock. In total, the three vehicles involved had to be towed and State Highway 1082 was closed for around five hours, causing significant traffic delays.
