On Sunday, January 4th, 2026, music lovers in Weiden can look forward to a very special event. The Rotary Club of Weiden invites you to a concert with the Bavarian State Youth Orchestra (BLJO) in the Max Reger Hall. The start is at 5 p.m.
The talented conductor Ustina Dubitsky will take over the musical direction, while the violin soloist Korbinian Altenberger will enrich the stage in a special way. The program includes two important works of classical music: theViolin Concerto in D major op. 77by Johannes Brahms and thatConcerto for orchestraby Béla Bartók. The latter was composed under particularly interesting circumstances in American exile in 1943, while Brahms' work was already well received in 1878 and is considered one of the most important pieces for violin.
