MINTSchool4Girls: Girls immerse themselves in the IT world in a playful way!

From July 22nd to 24th, 2025, the OTH Amberg-Weiden invites you to an exciting event called MINTSchool4Girls. This event is aimed at girls aged 14 to 19 and offers a great opportunity to discover the world of computer science in a fun way. How oberpfalzecho.de reported, participants can take part in numerous workshops that do not require any prior knowledge of computer science.

The workshops cover a wide spectrum. No matter whether it is about training your own artificial intelligence, developing an app or building an impressive LED light organ - there is something for every technology enthusiast! The participants receive support from experts from the EMI Faculty (Electrical Engineering, Media and Computer Science). Participation is free, but places are limited, which is why early registration is recommended.

An interesting supporting program

What would an event be without a few exciting extras? In addition to the workshops, the girls can look forward to a varied supporting program. A visit to the Siemens visitor center THE IMPULSE, a personality workshop and an “Eat & Ask” network meeting with IT graduates are on the program. And as a crowning conclusion, participants can look forward to a convivial bowling evening with pizza.

Behind this is an initiative that is not only intended to arouse the curiosity of young women, but also aims to increase the long-term opportunities for women in MINT careers.
