Star singers from Eslarn and Moosbach bring hope to Regensburg!
To the great joy of many enthusiasts, the broadcast ceremony for the star singer campaign took place in Regensburg on December 29, 2025. This important event, organized by Bishop Rudolf, was an important start to the “Aktion Dreikönigssingen”, which is considered the largest aid campaign by children and young people for their peers in need. The young people from the Eslarn-Moosbach parish community were also there and went from door to door dressed as kings to collect donations and bring blessings oberpfalzecho.de reported.
A special highlight of the celebration was the star singers' procession, in which the participants marched together with chaplain Basil and community representative Benedikt Eckert from the Old Kornmarkt to the impressive St. Peter's Cathedral. After the ceremony, you could look forward to warm tea and fresh pretzels, which underlined the happy mood. Parish council member Bernd Reil and church caretaker Nicola Hummer said they were positive about the day and announced that they were definitely planning to take part next year. A look into the future
The star singer campaign is now about to start in the municipality. From January 2, 2026, the altar servers will go from house to house to continue to draw attention to important concerns and collect donations for the various aid projects. Pastor Udo Klösel thanked the companions who supported the young people on their journey.
This year, special attention will be paid to the challenges in Bangladesh, such as sternsinger.de is to be read. Sternsinger's partner organizations are actively committed to the liberation of these children and their return to school. Successes of the past
The past campaign was a remarkable success. Over 48 million euros were collected at the 67th Dreikönigssingen campaign in 2025, which corresponds to an increase compared to the previous year. Around 457,000 euros were collected from the Archdiocese of Berlin alone to help children worldwide. The children's missionary organization “Die Sternsinger” is responsible for managing the donations and works closely with the local communities.
