Weiden students pass heat tests and celebrate graduation!
An intensive phase has begun for the students of the Caritas Academy for Social Education in Weiden. The final exams start on June 26, 2025 for a total of 54 committed students who are preparing for the crucial challenges in three classes. The examination subjects cover central topics such as pedagogy, psychology and special education as well as optionally literary and media education or theology. The kick-off takes place in particularly hot weather, which creates additional problems for the examinees, but the students are determined and optimistic. oberpfalzecho.de reports that ...
Interestingly, the Fachakademie is the only educational institution in the Upper Palatinate that offers part-time, part-time training, which is particularly advantageous for students who need to secure their livelihood. Two of the classes completed their studies full-time, while one class worked part-time. This enables all participants to individually adapt their learning to their personal life situation.
Expanded training opportunities and examinations
In advance of the exams, volunteers had the opportunity to take a supplementary exam in English before the Whitsun holidays. This exam opens the door to the subject-specific university entrance qualification or, in combination with mathematics, to the general university entrance qualification, which offers students excellent prospects. Dr. Barbara Neuber, the head of the specialist academy, addresses the examinees with her best wishes for a successful completion.
The final phase of the study begins with the written exams in June, followed by the oral exams in July. During these exams, knowledge of the specific work in the educator profession is tested, which gives the examinees the opportunity to transfer their theoretical knowledge into practice.
Practical experience before graduation
In September, the students will have a professional internship, where they will be able to demonstrate their skills in facilities in and around Weiden. This year, the Caritas Fachakademie has a record number of interns who are already completing specialist work and practical exams. They are currently in the final examination phase, the colloquium, before the graduation ceremony in July at Kulturgut Oberpfalz, where the long-awaited diplomas will be presented.
A degree from the specialist academy opens the doors for graduates to a professional world in which educators are considered sought-after specialists. They support and promote the mental, emotional and physical development of children and young people and create important leisure activities. Educators are not only companions, but also important contacts for young people outside their families. The permeability in education and upbringing will continue to be supported and promoted by the graduates in their future profession. med-akademie.de emphasizes that...
The path to successful completion is not only an academic challenge, but also a personal journey, accompanied by moments of silence and community, such as those experienced when looking back on a week in Taizé. This shows how important it is to find the balance between academic requirements and personal development. The experiences not only create memories, but also a strong network that will accompany students beyond graduation. schoolandcollegelistings.com reports from ...
