Schongau: Exciting tandem championship thrills bowlers!

On August 24, 2025, the starting signal for the new bowling season was given in Schongau, which opened with the tandem championship in the Zugspitze district. The competition served as a qualifying round for the upcoming district championship and attracted numerous talented bowlers.

In the women's category, Petra Weigl and Katica Sendula from SKV 1940 Penzberg showed their skills. With an impressive 284 wood they secured first place. Anna and Kunigunde Steinbrecher from SKC Oberau followed closely with 281 wood. Silvia Straßer and Elisabeth Reindl (SKC Gut Holz Huglfing) took third place with 246 wood, while Adelheid Ostermair and Angelika Jung (SKV Penzberg) only scored one wood point less and took fourth place.

Mixed teams and men's competition

In the mixed area, Ramona Resch (FC Seeshaupt) and Alois Kriesmair (SKC Eberfing) were the measure of all things. With a total output of 362 wood they took victory. Tamara Hey and Pascal Schouten, also from FC Seeshaupt, took second place with 346 wood. Closely followed by Amy Waitz and Leonhard Werner (Seeshaupt), who secured third place with 338 wood. Traudel and Julian Kral (SKV Penzberg) completed the top four with 325 wood.

The men's ranking was dominated by Hubert Resch together with Alois Kriesmair (SKC Eberfing), who claimed first place with 382 wood. Pascal Schouten and Tobias Krause (ESV Neuaubing) took second place with 336 wood, while Martin Pfeiffer and Marcus Wolf (Schwarz-Gelb Schongau) secured third place with 307 wood.

Outlook for the district championship

The results of the championship are not only proof of the athletes' excellent performance, they are also crucial for qualifying for the district championship.
