Final concert of the North Bavarian Youth Wind Orchestra in Würzburg!
A musical highlight is imminent: On Saturday, September 20, 2025, the selection orchestra of the North Bavarian Music Association (NBMB) invites you to a special final concert in Würzburg. From 7.30 p.m. a varied program will be presented in the large hall of the Würzburg University of Music, which will certainly put the listeners in a good mood.
The concert has the motto “Sound.Spirit.Shades” and is organized by the North Bavarian Youth Wind Orchestra (NBJBO). The young musicians aged 15 to 27 have prepared for the concert with works by well-known composers such as Yasuhide Ito, Frank Ticheli, Jodie Blackshaw and Percy Aldridge Grainger, as well as timeless classics by the Beatles. There will also be another concert on Sunday, September 21, 2025, in the Joseph Keilberth Hall in Bamberg.
On stage: Franco Hänle and a strong community
The concert will be musically directed by Franco Hänle, who not only works as a conductor at the Baden-Württemberg Wind Academy, but is also the director of the wind orchestra conducting course at the Stuttgart University of Music. His commitment to conducting training and further education shows that he has a good knack for shaping young talents.
The NBJBO consists of around 70 music students and ambitious amateurs who prepared for this musical highlight during a project week at the Hammelburg Music Academy. “It’s fascinating to see how much energy and passion the young musicians put into their rehearsals,” says Hänle.
