Big boxing night in the Kiliani tent: Würzburg's fighters ready for duels!

On Sunday, July 13, 2025, it will be “ring free” again in the marquee on the Talavera: the 36th Kiliani Boxing is starting! The boxing department of the Würzburger Kickers invites you to see numerous athletes compete against each other in at least ten exciting fights. The entrance opens at 9 a.m., the first round starts at 10 a.m. At this event, the fighting spirit is very important.

This year's opponents are the boxers from ATS Kulmbach, with whom there was an exciting draw in the last meeting. And this year too, the Würzburger Kickers boxing department will be strengthened by phenomenal talent from the Würzburger Boxing Club Tommy. Among these athletes are Sabrina Borst, two-time Bavarian champion and German runner-up, as well as the Franconian champions Jeremy Bursalioglu and Vahe Balayan. In addition, Bavarian runner-up Morice Schmitt will step into the ring and Arthur Trippel, also a two-time Franconian and Bavarian champion, will fight for the Kickers.

Looking forward to big fights

The organizers expect up to 2,000 spectators. And they can look forward to exciting encounters in different weight classes, which will last three rounds of three minutes each. A special highlight is the middleweight fight between Mohammad Shadab, the German champion and reigning Franconian champion 2025, and Daniel Filipovic, Bavarian champion and third place at the German championships. This clearly shows that boxing is not only one of the oldest martial arts in Germany, but also one that is inspiring more and more people - around 5.62 million in Germany are interested in this sport, according to the German Boxing Association.

In order to offer spectators a first-class show, a professional boxing ring will be set up in the marquee. In addition to the Würzburger Kickers, boxers from KSV Kitzingen and TSV Bad Kissingen will also take part in the fights, making the event a real boxing festival.

Entry and route to the event

Admission for this exciting day is 10 euros, reduced price 7 euros - a bargain for such a sporting highlight! Things get down to business with the gong for the first round at 10 a.m. The event not only promises exciting fights, but also a great atmosphere for all fans of boxing. This demonstrates once again how boxing not only promotes physical fitness but also mental strength.

If you want to express your passion for sport or just have a great Sunday, you definitely shouldn't miss this event. The Kiliani Boxing – a festival for boxing in Würzburg, which is worth more than just a visit!
