Radio Bremen remains unchallenged: listener numbers are exploding!

What's happening in the radio sector? A current media analysis shows that the radio landscape in Bremen is more lively than ever. As butenunbinnen.de reports, the programs Bremen Eins and Bremen Vier continue to be ahead as the most listened to stations in the state of Bremen. With an impressive 326,000 listeners per day, Bremen Eins remains the most popular station, while Bremen Vier also attracts 242,000 listeners nationwide with an increase of 25,000 daily listeners.

The numbers speak for themselves: Radio Bremen is consolidating its market leadership with an impressive market share of 55 percent in the state of Bremen. In total, Radio Bremen has around 699,000 listeners every day. This shows that the radio landscape has experienced growth, especially in the last few months. 92.4 percent of the population now listens to the radio, with an average stay of 250 minutes per day.

Bremen Zwei and Bremen NEXT are on the rise

The development of Bremen Zwei is also interesting, as it now reaches 72,000 listeners every day and is therefore steadily gaining in popularity. The young program Bremen NEXT is performing impressively with 128,000 daily listeners. This mixed target group approach shows that there is something for every taste and that the variety of audio offerings is well received in Bremen.

The current media analysis was carried out by the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Media-Analyse (agma) and offers valuable insights into radio usage. An exciting finding from the study: 75 percent of Germans use audio services every day. In Bremen the value is even higher at 77.3 percent. It's clear that audio is an integral part of many people's everyday lives.

The audience and their preferences

The study also shows that podcasts are becoming increasingly popular: 46.4 percent of the population have already listened to a podcast. Especially in the 14 to 49 age group, 63 percent of them have tried podcasts. The use of DAB+ for digital audio offerings is also clear: at 30.3 percent, the 30 to 59 year old age group is particularly well represented. This shows that people not only have an ear, but also an eye for modern reception methods.

Another circumstance that makes you curious: Online audio usage has fallen slightly compared to last year, but remains at a solid level at 23.6 percent. In addition to the classic radio formats, there is still a lot of room for development here.

Overall, the current figures reflect today's trendy and dynamic radio. Whether classic medium or modern podcasts – the diversity speaks for itself and shows that radio and audio offerings are an important part of our lives. Radio Bremen remains at the top and it remains to be seen how this positive development will continue in the future.
