A tragic incident broke out in Hamburg-Billstedt this morning. At around 8:30 a.m., an employee of a nursing service on Öjendorfer Höhe Street discovered the body of a 68-year-old man in his ground floor apartment. The nurse was alerted by an intense smell of fire, which prompted her to call 911. The fire department responded immediately, but fighting the fire was no longer necessary because the fire had already gone out.
