The first matchday of the Bundesliga got off to a promising start for Eintracht Frankfurt. Jean-Mattéo Bahoya, the club's star of hope, caused a sensation right from the start with two goals in the 4-1 win against Werder Bremen. That's not all: Bahoya has set himself the goal of scoring up to 20 goals this season. “I want to help my team and am looking forward to the challenges ahead,” said the 21-year-old full of enthusiasm. Bahoya has another reason to be optimistic about the future. He and his colleague Uzun were among the 100 nominees for the Golden Boy Award 2025 chosen. This award is presented annually by the Italian newspaper Tuttosport and recognizes the best U21 player in Europe. A total of 11 players from the Bundesliga are in the running for the award. Bahoya himself is currently in 63rd place on the list and has already recorded 3 goals and 1 assist in the second half of last season and set a Bundesliga speed record of 37.16 km/h.
