Frankfurt inspires: third place among Germany's best nightlife cities!
There is currently a reason to celebrate in the cozy atmosphere of Frankfurt. According to a current ranking from the betting provider Betano The city takes an impressive third place among the best nightlife cities in Germany. The ranking covers a total of 30 cities and evaluates the density of late-open restaurants as well as nightlife searches. Frankfurt scored 5.69 out of a maximum of 10 points and is therefore doing quite well in an international comparison.
Curious to see who beats the competition? We see Wiesbaden in the first two places with 8.34 points and Münster in second place with 6.87 points. Berlin in particular, often seen as the vibrant center of nightlife, really didn't do the best, coming in at number 5. Hamburg, on the other hand, isn't even in the top 10 - what a surprise!
An exciting nightlife in Frankfurt
Meanwhile, Frankfurt can look forward to an exciting new opening: the club “Tokonoma” opens its doors in October and promises to turn night into day. The city has also positioned itself as an exciting destination, with the hotel industry reporting an impressive 6,387,089 overnight guests last year - an increase of 7% compared to the previous year. Increasingly spontaneous parties and celebrations show that Frankfurt is no less dynamic in this respect, which, however, also creates a challenge for the magistrate.
But it's not just the nightlife that's important; The topic of naturalization also deserves respect in Frankfurt. A new citizenship law has been in force since June 27, 2024, which simplifies access to German citizenship. This is particularly beneficial for those who plan to settle in Germany long-term. The most important requirements include a permanent right of residence or a temporary residence permit, as well as legal residence in Germany for at least five years. However, under certain conditions, this period can be reduced to three years.
Requirements for naturalization
- Nachweis über ausreichende Deutschkenntnisse (mindestens B1).
- Kenntnisse des rechtlichen und sozialen Systems in Deutschland.
- Keine relevanten Einträge im Bundeszentralregister.
In order to apply for naturalization, specific documents must also be submitted, including a current passport photo, a valid passport or ID card, as well as proof of length of residence and financial resources. The naturalization fee is 255 euros for adults and 51 euros for minors who are naturalized with one parent.
The applications must be sent by post to the Frankfurt am Main registry office before a personal appointment to present the original documents. A good contact person for all questions, Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., can be reached at 069/212-36291.
Conclusion: Frankfurt not only has an exciting nightlife to offer, but also opens new doors for people who want to find their place here. This makes the city a magnet for night owls and future citizens at the same time.
