Linkin Park rocks Frankfurt: How to get to the concert without stress!

A real highlight for music lovers is coming: Linkin Park is returning to Frankfurt! On July 8th and 9th, 2025, the band will be on stage at Deutsche Bank Park for two concerts, and that is a very special thing. After all, the band's last performance in the Main metropolis was on November 17, 2014 in the Festhalle. A lot has happened since then, especially after the tragic death of singer Chester Bennington in July 2017, which put the band's future in question. But Linkin Park has decided not to give up.

In spring 2024, initial speculation pointed to a comeback when the WME agency approached the band with tour and festival offers. This glimmer of hope became a reality in September 2024 when Emily Armstrong was introduced as the new lead singer. The first appearance with the new line-up took place on September 11, 2024 in Los Angeles, and since then fans have been cycling from one concert to the next - including the performances in Germany, which have already brought a full house a few times.

Arrival and traffic chaos

Anyone planning to travel to Frankfurt on the two concert evenings should prepare well. The parking situation around Deutsche Bank Park is known for its traffic chaos. Drivers are often at a clear disadvantage here - just as many visitors to the concert in Düsseldorf recently had to experience, where getting out of a parking space took more time than the concert itself. In Frankfurt it is therefore strongly recommended to travel by public transport. The S-Bahn lines S7, S8 and S9 take visitors to the “Frankfurt Stadion” station in less than six minutes. Tram line 21 and special trains line 20 also run every three minutes to the “Stadion” stop.

Around 50,000 fans per evening are expected at the concert, and although the parking spaces open from 2:30 p.m., it is advised to park outside the city center if possible. This particularly affects the forest car park and the pre-booking car parks. If you choose public transport, you are lucky that your concert ticket entitles you to free return travel in the RMV area, which makes the journey even more convenient.

Weather and setlist

The weather forecast for the concert days is mixed. On July 8th, thunderstorms and showers are forecast with maximum temperatures between 17 and 20 degrees. The following day it will be very cloudy with rain showers before the cloud cover loosens slightly and temperatures reach between 20 and 23 degrees. However, a warm rain can hardly dampen the atmosphere that the band creates with their best hits.

The setlist promises an exciting mix of classics like “One Step Closer,” “Numb” and “What I’ve done” as well as brand new songs like “The Emptiness Machine” and “Up From The Bottom.” This varied compilation shows that Linkin Park has not lost its creative spirit despite the challenges of the last few years and will delight fans with an unforgettable experience.

Gates open on July 8th at 4:00 p.m., and early entry ticket holders have the opportunity to get into the event as early as 3:30 p.m. After the support act from Architects and jpegmafia, Linkin Park will take the stage at 6:00 p.m. However, spectators should be prepared for heavy crowds on the S-Bahn, as the police will regulate access to the tracks after the concert ends.

With all this information in mind, a lively cruise through the Main metropolis could actually bring pure joy to the Linkin Park concert. Remember to make a plan for your arrival and prepare for an unforgettable evening!
