New splendor for the Biebertal primary school: Anke Fink becomes headmistress!
Anke Fink is now the new headmistress of the Biebertal primary school in Rodheim. Her official inauguration took place on September 27, 2025 and was accompanied by many warm words, musical performances and a colorful backdrop of colleagues and parents. The college choir welcomed Fink with the song “Welcome here in Biebertal,” which was composed especially for the occasion and underlined the school’s sense of community, as Giessener Anzeiger reports.
At the celebration, Torsten Bräuer from the staff council praised Fink's empathy and her ability to initiate change. Eva Maria Hußmann, head of the school department at the Gießen-Vogelsberg State School Office, emphasized that it takes courage to leave your comfort zone. Fink also received support from Christopher Lipp, the district school department head, who presented her with a colorful bouquet of flowers and wished her good luck for the challenges ahead. In addition to other well-wishers, Peter Kleiner, the first alderman of Biebertal, was also there and brought greetings from the community committees.
An impressive career
Anke Fink, who was born in Limburg an der Lahn in 1978 and lives in Wettenberg, is married and mother of two children. She began her academic career from 1997 to 2001 at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen, studying to become a primary school teacher. She then completed her legal clerkship at the Steinbach elementary school and remained there until 2004. Fink then moved to the Sophie Scholl School in Giessen and worked at the Ludwig Uhland School until 2025. She is also a member of the church choir of the Protestant parish of Wettenberg-Wißmar.
The Biebertal primary school can rely on a motivated team of teachers. This school year, for example, Fink is assisted by Ms. Lupton as deputy principal and other qualified teachers, including Ms. Cunz, Ms. Beck and Ms. Zinkhan-Geßner. This variety of specialist skills provides the ideal basis for implementing successful school development, which is the focus of Fink's work, as also discussed in deutsches-schulportal.de.
A big step for school development
School development is a long-term process that requires a fundamental inventory in order to achieve improvements in the teaching and organizational structure of the school. It is important that all relevant stakeholders are involved right from the start, including school management, teachers, students and parent representatives. With a good team, Fink will certainly make a valuable contribution to the further development of the Biebertal elementary school. The aim is to create a positive learning environment in which students can be optimally supported and feel comfortable.
After the official inauguration, those present had the opportunity to get to know Anke Fink better and exchange ideas with her over coffee, cake and delicious snacks. Not only does this foster community, but it is also the first step towards a warm and productive collaboration that will surely bear fruit in the years to come.
