There is movement in the real estate market in Kassel: part of the former “Fiasko” pub on Schönfelderstrasse is for sale. This property, which was a popular meeting place until 2020, is now offered as a listed apartment building with two commercial units. The sales advertisements on ImmoScout24 describe a total living space of 342 square meters and an associated property measuring 1000 square meters. The price of 550,000 euros is very popular on the market for those interested, but the city of Kassel has not indicated any interest in purchasing it. This is happening at a time when the focus is on the development of the area around Georg-Stock-Platz, as HNA reports.
The property is currently not included in the scope of the development plan for Georg-Stock-Platz. A city spokesman made it clear that the city is not planning any purchases to support the measures in the development plan. In the past there have been discussions in the Wehlheiden local council about a possible purchase of the land around the former pub. However, the community of heirs, which was previously not ready to sell, is now open to offers.
Plans for the area
The real estate development on Schönfelderstrasse could become part of a larger plan. The Georg-Stock-Platz is located as a central measure in the funding area and is to be reorganized and upgraded.
