Attention art lovers! On the weekend of June 28th and 29th, Maintal will open the doors to creativity again. At the “Open Studio Days” visitors have the opportunity to take a look into artists’ workshops and be inspired by various art forms. Whether painting, sculpture, photography or collage - the variety is great and promises exciting insights into the local art scene.
Organized by the city's specialist service for cultural education, the event invites you to explore the studios in all four districts of Maintal. These are not only found in classic art workshops, but also in apartments, garages and gardens. This brings the art world right to your doorstep, so to speak. Visit artists in their personal retreats and take the opportunity to talk to them and find out more about their work.
Diverse insights
What is particularly exciting about this event is the opportunity to immerse yourself in the artists’ creative work. All studios must be located in Maintal, but artists can also come from outside. This makes for a colorful mix and some real discoveries. The event is an ideal opportunity for anyone who has a knack for art or simply wants to take a curious look at what's happening in the creative scene.
Opening times are Saturday, June 28th from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, June 29th from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is free, so the visit is also worthwhile for families and art lovers. For all information about the studios, the city map flyer is also available in the town hall and can also be found online on the Maintal website. The only drawback: exhibition location No. 18 on the city map is no longer there.
