New qualification for carers: This is how all-day care works!

Something is happening in the world of education in Cologne! The Odenwaldkreis Adult Education Center launched an exciting new course offering at the beginning of June: a qualification for carers in all-day schools. The target group is those who already work in schools or who plan to accompany children and young people during care times.

The training program consists of six modules that build on one another and provide technical knowledge in various areas. The participants deal with, among other things, communication, group pedagogy, conflict resolution and legal principles. Developmental psychology is not neglected either. Anyone interested in this innovative training can contact the adult education center directly. Lecturer Erika Scheider leads the modules together with Markus Dörr from the adult education center and Jochen Speckhardt from the school administration. The initiator is none other than Oliver Grobeis, the first district councilor and head of the education department, who emphasizes the importance of this further training.

The modules in detail

Each of the six modules has its focus topics that are tailored to the needs of carers:

• Modul 1 (2 Tage = 16 UE): Rechtliche Grundlagen des Ganztagsangebotes, mit Fokus auf Aufsichtspflicht, Kinderschutz, Kinderrechte und Datenschutz.
• Modul 2 (2 Tage = 16 UE): Pädagogische Grundlagen, basierend auf dem Bildungs- und Erziehungsplan für Kinder von 0 bis 10 Jahren.
• Modul 3 (3 Tage = 24 UE): Gruppenprozesse und Gruppendynamik, einschließlich der Begleitung der Entwicklung von Kindern innerhalb von Gruppen.
• Modul 4 (2 Tage = 16 UE): Kommunikationsstrukturen und Team-Netzwerke, die den Austausch zwischen Betreuungskräften, Lehrpersonen und Kindern verbessern.
• Modul 5 (1 Tag = 8 UE): Gestaltung der Betreuungszeiten, wobei Aspekte wie Sport, Kreativität und Medienpädagogik behandelt werden.
• Modul 6 (1 Tag = 6 UE): Reflexion und Abschlusspräsentation, in der die Teilnehmenden ihre Erkenntnisse festhalten und in die Praxis umsetzen können.
