Yesterchips Museum: Adventure and nostalgia until September 2025!

What’s new from Haingrund? The setting for nostalgia and digital adventure, the Yesterchips Museum, has expanded its hours to Thursday evenings through September 2025. The doors are open to visitors from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with last entry at 8 p.m. Here you can experience the exciting world of home computers and games consoles from the last five decades, from the early days of the 1970s to the first Xbox. The current motto is: “Stop by and play along!”

It will be particularly exciting on July 3rd, when the high score final in the game Micro Hexagon for the C64 begins at 7 p.m. Anyone who wants to put their skills to the test can take part and win prizes such as a winner's certificate, nerve food and an entry into the “Hall of Fame”. The Yesterchips Museum really heats up the mood, like my-news.de reported.

Special events in summer

Another highlight is coming up in August: the 25th anniversary celebration of the Haingrund interest group. On the days of August 30th and 31st, the village square next to the museum will become a festive place where visitors will be welcomed from 5 p.m. (on Saturday) and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. (on Sunday). Here you can prepare for fun and games - entry is free!

On September 27th, the museum will open its doors from 6 p.m. to midnight as part of the Odenwälder Night of Open Museums. Such events make the museum attractive not only for individual visitors, but also for groups. Individual appointments outside of regular opening hours can be arranged for at least three people.

A look into the digital past

Around 50 different exhibits, including home computers and consoles, decorate the exhibition rooms of the Yesterchips Museum. Most of the devices are even switched on and ready for a nostalgic evening of gaming. Entry and participation in guided tours is free on all opening days. The Games Ground will take place in Berlin from November 13th to 16th, 2025, and will feature a diverse program and an expanded festival experience.
