Bikers with a heart: 1,111 euros collected for the Lauterbach animal shelter!
On Sunday afternoon, August 10, 2025, over 220 bikers gathered at the animal shelter in Lauterbach to take part in what is now the sixth “Biker Ride for Animals”. Klaus Groth, who took over the organization of the event, gave the starting signal at around 1 p.m. and set the motorized entourage in motion on a route of around 100 kilometers across the picturesque Vogelsberg. Weather conditions were changeable, resulting in the need to set up a large 100-person tent as well as smaller pavilions to protect participants.
After a journey of around 50 kilometers, there was a 30-minute break at a rest area. During this time it began to rain lightly, but the bikers continued their tour undeterred. The return to Klaus Groth's “Ranch” took place around 4:30 p.m., where trophies were then presented. A total of 25 prizes were awarded, including for the furthest journey, the oldest motorcycle and the oldest participant. The commitment and dedication of the bikers was not only about riding, but also about supporting animals in need.
A generous donation to the animal shelter
Another highlight of the event was the donation of 1,111 euros that Klaus Groth presented to the Lauterbach animal shelter. Christina Scheer, the treasurer of the Animal Welfare Association Lauterbach e.V., was grateful for this contribution, which makes a crucial contribution to meeting the animal shelter's daily needs. There are currently 130 cats living there, 100 of which are kittens, and around 16 dogs. Given the current ban on the admission of cats due to a lack of space, every euro is valuable.
In addition to the donation handover, participants were also provided with culinary provisions. You could fortify yourself and exchange experiences with coffee, cake, steaks and sausages at reasonable prices. This strengthened the community around the great cause of animal protection.
Shared commitment to animals
Such events are not only important for the financial support of animal shelters, they also promote awareness of animal welfare and strengthen community cohesion. More and more people are actively supporting animals in need, be it through charity runs, flea markets or animal adoption days that help raise funds and recruit volunteers. The “Biker Ride for Animals” is a prime example of how passion for motorcycles and commitment to animal welfare can be linked. Loud wildstationbilche.de The participants make valuable contributions through their presence and create a network for joint animal protection through such events.
This Sunday shows once again that you can achieve something good with joy, exercise and a good heart. Cheers to the bikers and all the supporters who really make a difference with their participation and donations!
