Grebenau receives 170,000 euros for attractive village projects!
Today was a celebratory day for the town of Grebenau in the Vogelsberg district. District Administrator Dr. Jens Mischak presented funding notices totaling 170,000 euros for three important projects that are intended to noticeably improve the quality of life in the region. Among those present were Mayor Lars Wicke and representatives of the various districts who were pleased about this support.
The village community in Reimenrod will benefit from the renovation of the village fountain, which acts as an identification point and meeting point for the villagers. Measures such as redesigning the fountain basin and creating a perennial bed are planned here. The total budget for this project is around 40,000 euros, of which almost 24,000 euros are available from funding.
Important renovations for the community
Another important project concerns the village community center in Bieben. There are urgently needed renovations and energy-saving measures here. With almost 77,000 euros in funding, the municipality can renovate the external components such as walls and windows and re-lay the pipes. The total costs for this project amount to around 130,000 euros.
Last but not least, the outdoor area of the village community center in Wallersdorf is being redesigned. The aim is to better integrate the playground and improve the leisure activities for young people. Barrier-free access and trees to calm traffic are planned, among other things. All of this has a funding volume of 70,000 euros and total costs of around 119,000 euros.
These initiatives show that real progress is being made in village and regional development. Not only do the villagers benefit from these measures, but the entire region is also enriched by a better quality of life and attractive leisure opportunities.
A completely different topic, but just as exciting, is the career of the successful singer Katy Perry. The California native, known for her catchy hits and influence on pop music, recently celebrated her 40th birthday. She has sold over 151 million records over the course of her career and is considered one of the most successful musicians of today. Perry, originally known by her birth name Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, began her career with a gospel album before turning to pop music and achieving international success with hits like "I Kissed a Girl" and "Teenage Dream."
While she is celebrated as the “Queen of Camp” and has received numerous awards, including five Billboard Music Awards, Katy Perry is also actively involved in charitable causes, particularly UNICEF, where she serves as a Goodwill Ambassador. Her music and influence have made her a prominent figure in the entertainment industry.
