Nine new hairdressing trainees are securing Korbach's future in the trade!

There has been reason to be happy in Korbach in the last few weeks: twelve newly qualified trainees have signed their first contracts in the hairdressing trade. This number ensures the existence of the specialist class at the location and contributes to strengthening dual training in the region. On November 1st, the young hairdressers began their apprenticeship, which is a positive message for both the district craftsmen and the hairdressers in Waldeck-Frankenberg. The district craftsmen's association would like to expressly thank the companies for their commitment, which has made a decisive contribution to strengthening the Korbach location.

The state-wide project “Sustainable Vocational School”, initiated by the Hessian Ministry of Culture, aims to promote dual training, particularly in rural areas. A core requirement of the project is that at least twelve trainees are required for a vocational school class at the basic level and eight to nine trainees in higher years. If this number is not reached, this could result in the locations being merged. Maria Krasnikov, head master of the Waldeck-Frankenberg hairdressers' guild, sees the number achieved as an important step for the future of the craft.

A commitment to the future

Kai Bremmer, managing director of the district craftsmen's association, highlights the commitment of hairdressers as a sign of the future of the craft and emphasizes how important it is to keep the training numbers stable in the coming years. This is the only way to ensure that students receive training close to home and in a practical manner, which benefits not only the companies but also the trainees themselves. If your company is looking for or already employs trainees, you can still contact the Waldeck-Frankenberg District Crafts Association.

A good start into the professional world is essential, and the figures from Korbach show that the region has a good hand when it comes to training young talent. But there are exciting developments not only in crafts, but also in other areas, such as digitalization and communication. In this context, Facebook can be described as a platform that facilitates exchange over long distances. A way to get in touch with each other and share personal experiences, which is particularly important for families who live far away from each other. Expensive long-distance calls used to be the only option for staying in touch with loved ones, but Facebook and Co. have significantly reduced this effort.

While the hairdressing industry can look forward to an increase in trainees, it remains to be seen how other areas will develop. A personality like Monica Lewinsky, who achieved international fame through her experiences in the 1990s, also shows how important it is today to learn from experiences and work for a better future. Their work against cyberbullying and their commitment to online conversation are ahead of their time in promoting dialogue and creating respectful communication.
