Serious B27 accident: Hyundai crashes into tree – two injured!

On the evening of October 28, 2025, there was a serious traffic accident on the B27 between Eschwege and Albungen. At around 8:00 p.m., a 29-year-old Hyundai driver from Rodgau lost control of his vehicle in a left-hand bend. The car veered off the road to the right, broke through a guardrail and hurled over a grass verge over 50 meters before crashing head-on into a tree. The driver and his passenger, a 27-year-old from Ludwigshafen am Rhein, suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries. Both were admitted to the Werra-Meißner Clinic. The material damage to the vehicle amounts to around 30,000 euros, it is reported East Hesse News.

The federal highway had to be temporarily closed during the accident investigation and the subsequent towing work. The rescue service and the fire brigades from Eschwege and several districts were on site to provide quick help. The Eschwege police have started investigating the cause of the accident and are investigating what led to the serious incident.

Another incident in the region

Another incident recently occurred in the same region, highlighting the risks of road traffic. A 21-year-old from the Werra-Meißner district had to answer before the district court in Eschwege for fleeing an accident. Between Weidenhausen and Eschwege he damaged several crash barriers with his white Renault Clio. Hessen Mobil estimated the damage at over 3,200 euros, while the defendant's vehicle suffered a total economic loss of over 12,000 euros. The young man left the scene of the accident without permission and did not turn himself in to the police until the next morning. Interestingly, a breath alcohol test in the morning showed a value of 0.0 per mille, as reported Werra Rundschau.

The presiding judge imposed a driving ban of three months and ordered ADAC driving safety training. The decision was made in accordance with juvenile criminal law, which shows that in such cases the personal circumstances of the defendant are often taken into account.
