Autumn market in Friedberg: Festival for the whole family in late summer weather!

The city of Friedberg was thrilled by a colorful spectacle at its 73rd autumn market. The market ran from September 19th to 23rd, 2025 and attracted visitors with a full program and great weather, which was particularly inviting on the first few days. Numerous visitors flocked to the Seewiese on Friday afternoon, where they encountered long queues for the rides and the traditional market tour. As the FNP reported, the tour was led by Mayor Kjetil Dahlhaus and market manager Norbert Simmer, which attracted many curious faces.

The tour began at the southern market entrance and led past the colorful stalls of the general market to a well-deserved coffee break in the cozy carousel café. Mayor Dahlhaus brought the traditions to life and had a souvenir photo taken in front of the Roie showman family's tumbler. There was also a feast at the popular pizza stand run by Joachim Goltz from Hanau, who has been at this event for 25 years.

Diverse attractions and entertainment

The festival mile offered a wealth of attractions. The central gourmet meadow was always well attended and enjoyed great popularity with local specialties such as Kultland beer, apple cider and fresh mushrooms. A spontaneous “slow ride” in the tumbler as part of the tour provided additional fun. The festival was musically accompanied by the band from the Frohsinn Ockstadt singing club, which performed together with Italian friends from Valbrona, followed by the party band Maxxx, who really got the tent swinging.

As the FR highlights, numerous visitors were also drawn to the large flea market in the morning on Saturday. Around 100 stands were set up, and the nice weather naturally benefited the sellers. In the evening, the middle of the tent was transformed into a dance floor for the performance of the band “Confect”. But Sunday also brought with it its own atmosphere and was peppered with animal shows and a shopping Sunday, which increased the number of visitors again.

Unfortunately, the sky on Sunday wasn't as bright as on previous days. Cooler temperatures and rain showers caused problems for participants in the autumn market hike and visitors to the animal show. But how Great tubers explained, such capricious weather events are not unusual at the autumn market. Despite the weather conditions, the festival did not dampen the mood.

A successful conclusion

In the last few days before the closure there was a family day and a final fireworks display, which sent visitors off into the evening after a week full of experiences. With many memories and stories in her luggage, Friedberg looks back on an autumn market that combined both tradition and new momentum, thereby inspiring and bringing together numerous people. In addition to the offers and attractions, the personal encounters and the local community created a unique atmosphere.
