There will soon be a breath of fresh air in pediatric medicine in Rosbach: On January 12th, Dr. Maria de Lourdes Facello opened her new pediatrician's practice in the former Kita am Kirschenberg, Street Am Kirschenberg 8. Mayor Steffen Maar and the city administration played an active role in establishing this important facility in order to give medical care for families a big boost. This new opening closes a significant gap in the region, which is particularly important for young families.

Dr. Facello, who originated in Argentina and has lived in Germany since 2018, recently received her German specialist recognition in pediatric and adolescent medicine. Your practice rooms are designed to be child-friendly and have been extensively remodeled so that little patients can quickly feel at home.

A community health project

The practice of Dr. However, Facello is just the beginning. The city of Rosbach, in collaboration with the HP&P Group from Giessen, has big plans for a modern medical and health center on Dieselstrasse. This project aims to secure and expand medical care in the long term - at a time when demographic change is not helping to make the healthcare system easier. According to the study by the Robert Bosch Foundation, there are expected to be over 11,000 unfilled family doctor positions in Germany by 2035, which underlines the urgency of such initiatives.

Mayor Steffen Maar emphasizes the importance of creating a network that promotes collaboration between different disciplines. The aim is to establish a networked care system that takes into account the needs of the growing population and secures pediatricians not only in Rosbach but throughout the region.

A look at the future of medical care

In addition, the HP&P Group will also develop another medical and health center in the Rodheim district, which includes the establishment of health stations in the region. These health stations are intended to help shorten travel distances and significantly improve patient care on site. Innovative digital solutions could make doctors’ work easier in the future and raise local medical care to a new level.

The Rhenish-Berg region is thus significantly limiting the outflow of specialists and the decline in rural doctors. Health stations where patients can provide samples themselves could be part of the solution to the challenges of health care in rural areas.
