In Bad Zwischenahn the signs point to “start running”! On Thursday, June 19th, the EWE North Sea Run will take place in this charming city for the first time. The starting signal is fired at 5:30 p.m. and there is great anticipation for the event. An impressive 283 runners have already registered for all stages by June 12th, and an additional 180 “after-work runners” who prefer to run along in a relaxed manner have registered. This is a solid start and the race has already established itself as the second most visited stage this year. The general conditions for this sporting event are promising. Hendrik Wolff from the Bad Zwischenahn Economic Development Agency expressed optimism about the event and hopes for active participation from spectators. Physical well-being is also taken care of – Evangelische Hospital Service GmbH (EKS) offers food and drinks at fair prices. Here the runners can enjoy, among other things, bratwurst, various pasta dishes and wonderful sauces. The range of drinks on offer is also appealing: soft drinks, draft beer, Alster and non-alcoholic beer are available. What is particularly noteworthy is that the Oldenburg-East Frisian Water Association (OOWV) provides free water for participants.
