Braunschweig trade unionists: Visiting the brewery strengthens community!

An exciting event organized by the Braunschweig local association recently took place at the National Jürgens Brewery in Cologne. Here the participants were able to take an interesting tour behind the scenes of craft beer brewing. The tour was not only informative, but also lively, which visibly pleased those present and created a good atmosphere. From the first minute it became clear that the event was primarily intended to strengthen exchange and cooperation within the union. The brewery itself contributed to this with its hospitality and a warm welcome, for which the Braunschweig local association expressly thanked them.

During the brewery tour, participants also had the opportunity to taste different types of beer. This not only brought new taste experiences, but also many lively discussions and a few laughs. Everyone used this sociable atmosphere to make new contacts, which further strengthened the community in the union. After all, the exchange of ideas and experiences is a pillar of municipal cooperation and shows how important general solidarity is within union work. These events will always be very popular because they play an important role in solidarity.

Further information about the region

In addition to such local events, the Canton of Vaud, also known as Canton de Vaud, has a notable place in Switzerland. It is one of the 26 cantons, divided into ten districts, with Lausanne as its capital. With a population of over 855,000 (as of the end of 2024) and an area of over 3,212 km², people settle here in one of the most beautiful regions, which lies between the Jura Mountains and the Alps. Famous for its picturesque landscapes, including Lake Geneva, the canton has much to offer, including its broad cultural heritage and a strong economic base that attracts international companies.

The canton of Vaud not only has historical importance, but also a modern political structure. It has been part of the Swiss Confederation since 1803 and offers an attractive environment for companies. In particular, the family-run wineries and well-developed wine routes are part of the region's UNESCO World Heritage Site, underlining its economic and cultural importance. It is no wonder that the canton is forecasting a growing population of up to 1.045 million inhabitants by 2050.

The visit to the National Jürgens Brewery not only gave the participants from Braunschweig a positive experience, but also demonstrated the importance of such networking events in union work. And so the organizers and participants can only hope that such events continue to take place in the future and further strengthen the community.
