Eintracht Braunschweig lends talented striker Queißer to Babelsberg 03

Eintracht Braunschweig has made an exciting personnel decision in the current transfer period. The 21-year-old striker Linus Queißer was officially awarded to SV Babelsberg 03 in the Regionalliga Nordost. “It's a clear mission: collect match practice,” explains sports director Benjamin Kessel, who is striving for a good hand in putting together the squad, while head coach Heiner Backhaus is working on the challenges ahead. The loan is for one year, and those responsible at Eintracht already have plans to bring Queißer back next summer.

Queißer comes from Bad Harzburg and can look back on an impressive record from his last season. In 51 appearances for MTV Wolfenbüttel he scored 56 goals and became his team's most valuable player. He wears shirt number 23 for his new team and has already completed a few training sessions. “We believe in his potential, so we see this loan as a win-win situation,” continued Kessel.

An outlook on Queißer's development

Queißer's path to the professionals has been promising so far. Last season he not only achieved remarkable success in the regional league, but was also briefly part of the Eintracht Braunschweig professional squad. Here he was used in two games in the 2nd Bundesliga, but was only substituted on shortly before the end, which unfortunately did not give him sufficient match practice. He was in the squad for four more games, but was unable to play because a calf injury set him back in the second half of the season.

In the reserve team, Queißer impressed with his goalscoring abilities: in 31 games he scored 19 goals and prepared four. With these performances he has qualified for a role in the regional league, where he now has the opportunity to show what he is made of.

The future of unity

Eintracht Braunschweig says it is in the process of restructuring the team for the new season. Five external additions and 13 departures have already been recorded in the current transfer phase. Those in charge are optimistic that talented players like Queißer will help keep the team competitive. “We will closely monitor his development in Babelsberg,” emphasizes Backhaus. Eintracht is planning long-term plans with Queißer and is counting on a positive return after the loan.

Braunschweig fans can be excited to see how Queißer will develop in the coming season and what Eintracht can achieve with solid squad planning.
