New integration offers in the Celle district: brochure now available!
A fresh wind is blowing through Celle! With the revised brochure “Integration offers in the Celle district”, those responsible in the social welfare office have made a significant improvement. This important source of information was recently updated and aims to create transparency about the diverse local, national and online offerings. As the Celle press reports, the brochure contains a detailed list of integration actors and projects that would like to help new immigrants in the region.
At the ceremonial handover of the first copies by the head of the social department, Dr. Wiebke Wietschel to Kristin Fuhrberg and Ivanka Webb-Wolkenhauer from the CJD made it clear how important this brochure is for the institutions and supporters in referral advice. Many of the offers are limited in time and are subject to annual changes. It is therefore essential to always be informed and up to date.
A network for integration
But what exactly can you find in this brochure? The district’s “Migration and Integration” team offers a wide range of integration services, including advisory services and language courses. According to information from bbscelle.de Good language skills are a basic requirement for education and professional success. In addition, the ESF Plus program “WE” promotes long-term integration and sustainable work support for refugees.
The Asylum and Migration Information Center (IZAM) also provides valuable assistance by providing information on migration, integration and return. The arrival app is also a great help for the first few weeks in Germany - it provides lots of useful tips for new arrivals. In addition, the Integration Act is in force, which improves participation in integration courses and future prospects for asylum seekers.
Digital support and more
The digital world has also found its way into the area of integration. The federal government's recently launched internet portal and the Opportunity Residence Law, which has been valid since the end of 2022, offer comprehensive information that is intended to make integration easier. Information about current developments in the refugee situation and political measures can be found on the platforms of the state government of Lower Saxony.
Another highlight is the multilingual sports dictionary from the DJK Sportjugend, which is useful for intercultural games. Rumors about Germany can be debunked using the website RumorsAboutGermany.info and Deutsche Welle offers explanatory films about relevant articles of the Basic Law in six languages - everything to support the integration process.
If you would like to find out more about the integration offers, you can view the brochure online at www.Landkreis-Celle.de/MuI. Printed copies are available from the Migration and Integration team (InfoIntegration@LKCelle.de). The events and advisory services are a step in the right direction and show that the Celle region has a good hand when it comes to supporting new immigrants.
