An exciting chapter closed today for the high school graduates of the Lichtenberg-Gymnasium and the Amandus-Abendroth-Gymnasium in Cuxhaven. After 13 years of schooling, the time has finally come: around 115 students have successfully passed their Abitur! The celebrations began in the early hours of the morning when the young graduates met in Altenwalde at 3:30 a.m. to toast their successes together. What a reason to celebrate! What dampened the mood, however, was the police's request not to walk directly on the street, but that didn't put a damper on the celebrations.
As part of the celebratory week, the high school graduates were able to express their creativity during the theme week. Under the motto “Time Travel”, “Film and Series”, “Childhood Heroes” and “High Society”, the students had the opportunity to present themselves in imaginative costumes. Such highlights not only lift the mood, but also bring with them a feeling of community and cohesion. Organizational challenges and highlights
Behind the scenes of the strike are committed organizers, including Jule Lüder in the finance committee and Kjell Meyer, who is actively involved in the organizing team. A particularly amusing event was bringing a car into the school, which even the principal acknowledged with a smile. Despite all the variety of activities, 16 students had to take the re-examination, which shows that not everyone escaped the Abitur exams unscathed. But some of the examinees were able to save themselves in time!
On Friday around the corner the high school diplomas will be awarded, and on Saturday the big prom will take place. A festive highlight that appropriately celebrates the end of this special phase in the lives of high school graduates. How nice that a supporting program is also planned that includes music, moderation and various snacks and drinks. The graduation band also ensures the perfect atmosphere, providing entertainment and making the evening unforgettable.
The anticipation of the upcoming events is palpable and by the end of the week many memories will be created that will last a lifetime. High school graduates have the opportunity to take their future into their own hands - step by step along new paths.
