Hobby artist exhibition in Weyhe: Creative diversity on November 1st and 2nd!
In Weyhe, hobby art and crafts take center stage on the first weekend in November. The traditional hobby artist exhibition in the KGS Kirchweyhe invites visitors on November 1st and 2nd, 2025 to admire and purchase the creative works of 40 exhibitors. This bazaar for arts and crafts has been an integral part of the region's cultural life since 1982. The exhibition is organized by a dedicated team, consisting of Janine Jödecke, Sabine Ratering and Sebastian Ratering, who have been preparing for the event since January to ensure diversity and quality.
Opening hours are Saturday, November 1st from 12pm to 6pm and Sunday from 11am to 5pm. Visitors can look forward to a varied selection: from knitted, crocheted and handicrafts to woodwork and upcycling products. Particularly exciting is the participation of four children who present their own creative ideas, making the exhibition a family event. The team would also like to see more male exhibitors with different hobbies in order to represent a broader spectrum.
Diversity and quality in focus
This year's exhibition shows some innovations: six new exhibitors are taking part and bringing fresh ideas. These include woodwork, homemade dog accessories and recycled children's clothing created using creative upcycling techniques. This keeps the event exciting and appealing for all age groups.
The exhibition area extends from the cafeteria to the cafeteria in the KGS Kirchweyhe. A special highlight is the gastronomic offer of the school support association, which offers home-baked cakes, freshly brewed coffee and bockwurst. The income of around 2,000 euros from the previous year also goes back to the support association, which makes the event not only an arts and crafts event, but also a support for their school activities.
Another exciting exhibition
And that's not all! The 29th hobby art exhibition will take place in Meerholz on Sunday, November 18, 2025. Over 40 artists from the Main-Kinzig district will present their works in the sports and culture hall. Here from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., visitors can not only browse and possibly get one or two Christmas presents, but also relax with coffee and cake. Entry is free! Klaus Brune from the VfR 09 Meerholz support association organizes the event, which has now developed into a nice tradition.
The large number of exhibiting artists ensures a wide range of works of art - from decoration and paper art to jewelry and ceramics. Here too, the exhibitors must provide a cake so that the taste is not neglected. The event combines art, culture and culinary delights, which is sure to attract many visitors.
Both events are not only a feast for the eyes of art lovers, but also a wonderful example of how local communities come together and maintain traditions through creativity and commitment. Those interested can find further information about networking art and artists on sites such as kunstvernetzt.ch, which help create visibility for creative events.
