But what exactly makes the role of a CEO so challenging? The Chief Executive Officer, the equivalent of the CEO or CEO in many Anglophone countries, has primary responsibility for the strategic direction of the company. In Austria, however, the title of CEO is more of an additional title with no legal significance. The CEO is considered the first board member and therefore it is important to have a vision to steer the company through turbulent times. Wikipedia provides interesting insights into this.
With a new CEO in charge and a clear vision for the future, F&N is entering a new era. The coming months will show how these changes will impact the company's growth strategy.
