First Happy Food Festival in Duderstadt: A gourmet dream for everyone!

The “Happy Food Festival” opened its doors in Duderstadt today and promises a special kind of culinary experience. Over three days, visitors can immerse themselves in the world of delicious food. The event is being hailed by organizers as a step to give the city a new lease of life and bring more life to the pedestrian zone.

A total of ten food trucks are ready to pamper the tastes of the guests. The offering ranges from churros and crepes to falafel and loukoumades to hearty burger variations and langos. A real feast for everyone who likes to feast on a variety of cuisines! Göttingen Tageblatt reports that regional beers and exotic cocktails are also offered to round off the culinary delights.

A celebration for the whole family

Entry to the festival is free for all visitors, making it an ideal destination for families and friends looking for social moments. In addition to the culinary highlights, entertainment for children, live music and beautiful seating in front of the upper church await guests. “It’s really nice when there’s something going on in the city,” enthuses 33-year-old Samira Recha. Her friend Paula Wiedenbrügge adds that the relaxed atmosphere is simply contagious.

Visitors like Johannes Wölk, 24, are full of praise for the diversity and the relaxed atmosphere: “There is simply a great offer here that enriches the city.” For the two young men Kevin Wiebrans and Julie Plumenbaum, the revitalization of the normally quiet pedestrian zone is a real bright spot on Friday evening.

More choice in the future?

But not only praise is expressed. Some visitors like Ina Bodem and Carsten Jacobi would like to see more food alternatives and additional beer stalls for a possible repeat of the festival. “The selection is good, but not yet perfect,” says Bodem. The feedback from guests shows that there are many ideas to make next year's festival even more tasty.

The organizers encourage food truck operators to get in touch if they can offer special specialties. Information and updates are available on Instagram at @happy_food_festival as well as on the organizers' websites. The festival takes place today and tomorrow, with opening hours set for 1pm to 10pm on Saturday and 1pm to 8pm on Sunday.

In summary, we can say: The first “Happy Food Festival” in Duderstadt is a complete success and has already secured a permanent place in the city’s calendar. Given the positive feedback, everything suggests that this event should definitely continue.
