Autumnal light magic: natural lights in Germer delight families!

When the leaves turn into warm colors and the days get shorter, it's time for the autumn light magic in Wietmarschen. This year the “Natural Lights” event is taking place for the fifth time in the renowned Germer Nursery where the organizers Paul, Simon and Marijke Germer, together with a dedicated team of 30 helpers, create an unforgettable atmosphere.

The tree nursery, which was founded in 1953, transforms its site on Füchtenfelder Straße into a sea of lights. Under the motto “We turn on the lights for you,” the organizers invite all nature and light lovers to an exciting experience. The events are scheduled for September 26th and 27th and October 3rd and 4th, starting at 6 p.m.

The only light trail in the region

Visitors can look forward to an almost two-kilometer-long path of lights that leads through the tree nursery. Numerous lighting effects and creative subject areas can be discovered here. These include, among other things, a spooky witch's house, an exciting journey back in time, an enchanting fairy forest and a trip to Hogwarts - where everyone becomes part of a magical world!

The team made many installations themselves and even worked with regional kindergartens. The atmosphere is enhanced by hundreds of light sources that impressively highlight the large trees. In the spirit of community, the event not only brings light, but also various exhibitors who present their products and campaigns.

Music and culinary delights

The four evenings are not only a feast for the eyes, but also for the ears. Musical contributions come from, among others, the local music club, the Kiwi choir from Wietmarschen, the Niedergrafschaft music school and DJ Kay Knoop. Your physical well-being is also taken care of, with traditional delicacies such as onion cake and Federweißer.

Admission is extremely fair at three euros for adults, while children can take part for free - an ideal destination for a family trip! In addition to the festival of lights and the creative light effects, the Germer tree nursery also offers expert advice on plants and garden supplies. Their range includes not only roses and deciduous trees, but also grasses, perennials and hydrangeas. There are also new workshops on seasonal decorations for garden lovers.

A visit to the tree nursery can be ideally combined with a bike tour in the area. There are also two shelters on the site that are ideal for resting and picnicking. So if you're looking for an autumnal experience with light, music and enjoyment, you definitely shouldn't miss the “Natural Lights” event!
