Blank, whose roots lie in both Ghana and Madagascar, began his career in Bayer 04 Leverkusen's youth academy before moving to Borussia Dortmund in 2019. There he went through all the youth teams and celebrated success with the U19 in 2022: the A-Junior championship. In addition to these successes, he was also involved in the A-Junior Bundesliga West with two championship titles from 2022 to 2023. Just a year later, in 2023, he is already in the Dortmund U23 professional squad and makes it into the Bundesliga team. On January 20, 2024, he finally played his first Bundesliga game - against 1. FC Köln.

From Dortmund to Salzburg and now to Hanover

In February 2024, Blank moved for a remarkable 7 million euros RB Salzburg, where he also attracted attention on the big European stages of the Champions League. He was able to prove himself in a total of six league and three cup games and four further appearances in the Champions League. His performance did not go unnoticed and he was quickly called up for the German junior national team: three times for the U20 and three times for the U21.

"I'm really looking forward to my time here in Hanover. My goal is to bring my strengths to the team and to develop myself further personally," said Blank when he was introduced. The role of central defender suits him, as he describes himself: “Calm in the build-up of the game, but aggressive in the duels.” This could be a perfect mix for Hannover 96, who can already look back on a number of summer signings including Bastian Allgeier, Jonas Sterner, and many more. Blank is now the ninth newcomer of the summer transfer period.
