Magical lights and scents: All Christmas markets in Donau-Ries!

November often has its sad moments, but the Christmas market season brings real rays of hope to the Donau-Ries district. As the Augsburger Allgemeine reports, there are 25 Christmas markets and similar events this year that promise a festive atmosphere and a contemplative atmosphere.

A highlight is the Christmas market in Donauwörth, which will be opened by Mayor Jürgen Sorré on November 20th at 5 p.m. Under the motto “Christmas Smell”, guests can immerse themselves in the Christmas hustle and bustle from November 20th to 23rd and again from November 27th to 30th and on various dates in December. The romantic old town island of Ried in particular will become a popular destination for Christmas market lovers from December 18th to 21st.

• Amerdingen: Dorfweihnacht am 29. November, Eröffnung durch den Nikolaus um 16 Uhr, geöffnet bis 20 Uhr.
• Asbach-Bäumeheim: Weihnachtsmarkt am 13. Dezember, 15 bis 21 Uhr.
• Deiningen: Weihnachtsleuchten am 6. Dezember (17 bis 23 Uhr) und 7. Dezember (14 bis 20 Uhr) auf dem Karl-Stirner-Platz.
• Harburg: Glühwein-Markt am 6. Dezember (17 bis 23 Uhr) und „Selber g‘macht Weihnacht“ am 7. Dezember (11 bis 17 Uhr).
• Kaisheim: Weihnachtsmarkt am 6. Dezember (11 bis 20.30 Uhr).
• Mertingen: Weihnachtsmarkt am 6. und 7. Dezember.

Particularly worth mentioning is the craft market in Donauwörth-Ried, which takes place from December 18th to 21st. Here visitors can expect various stands with handmade products, while choirs and clubs enrich the program.
