Things will soon be colorful in the Kiekeberg open-air museum: on Saturday, June 28th, the media festival “KLICK CUT CODE” invites children and young people to discover the fascinating world of media. The event begins at 11 a.m. and the highlight of the day will be the honoring of the winning entries in the competition of the same name at 4 p.m. The Youth and Media Working Group, together with the Kiekeberg Open Air Museum and the Sparkasse Harburg-Buxtehude, have put together an exciting program that offers space for creative minds.
In the exhibition building, young visitors can present their multimedia products and projects all day long. There are numerous offers available to participants, including hands-on activities and workshops on topics such as programmed games with Calliopes and digital illustrations with graphics tablets. Stories with Bee Bots and an innovative robot project on logistics also await the curious.
Diverse workshops for creative minds
Various workshops are offered for anyone who would like to deepen their skills in the area of media design. This is about creating podcasts and developing games with Unity. In addition, visitors can experiment at a hands-on island where they can try out a 3D printer, ironing beads and a button machine for retro pixel art.
Another highlight is the virtual reality area, which allows guests to explore historical museum landscapes. A digital scavenger hunt starts at 2 p.m., which is accompanied by an entertaining tour of the museum grounds. Here, participants can discover superstitions and customs and experience a live presentation on how to create a digital scavenger hunt on stage.
