Stephan Sojka becomes the new shooting king in Fleestedt – a celebration of tradition!

A new shooting king rules the community of Fleestedt! Stephan Sojka, also known in the region as “the tow truck”, was able to clearly prevail in the proclamation on Sunday evening. With his 435th shot, the 53-year-old not only defeated Helge Cassau, but also Jan Gagelmann and grabbed the royal title, which he already held from 2019 to 2022. The corona-related restrictions had extended this time, and so it is now a return to the throne for Sojka, supported by his wife Maike and his aides Sven Tobaben and Jan Gagelmann. That reports Better in view.

As a trained electrician, Sojka not only brings his technical skills to the maintenance work on the shooting house, but is also passionate about sport fishing. This multi-faceted personality has already given many insights into club life, where he has been active as a committed youth officer since 2016.

Successful proclamation and young shooters

The proclamation was accompanied by a brilliant folk and shooting festival, which took place in good weather and with a lively audience. The next generation is also active, as the young shooting queen is now 15-year-old Jolene Brockmann. She killed the hull with her 449th shot and succeeds her sister Cecilia. Other talents were also at the start of the young shooters: Peer Meißl and Luca Kaps secured their wings, while Erik Meißl and the Alm siblings did excellently with their equestrian sport chronicle.

There were also awards for the smallest shooters. Children's Queen Mila Szafranzki and Children's King Aron Groth rounded off the festival, which was characterized by a lively atmosphere and good humor. Shooting clubs like the one in Fleestedt actively shape village life and maintain traditions, as can be seen on the website Fleestedt shooting club is to be read.

A look at the shooting clubs

The shooting club has a long tradition in Germany, as it does alle-schuetzenvereine.de describes. These clubs have a clearly social and cultural character and offer a variety of activities that go far beyond shooting. Dedicated members promote community spirit and membership in shooting clubs is often passed down from generation to generation within families.

Overall, the folk and shooting festival was a great success and the new shooting king Stephan Sojka impressively demonstrated his appreciation for both tradition and the community. This festival opens another chapter in the history of the Fleestedt shooting club, which will certainly be marked by many more highlights.
