51 new trainees are starting their careers at Symrise & Co. in Holzminden!

On August 1, 2025, a happy event took place in the Holzminden region: 51 new trainees were warmly welcomed at the companies Symrise, Tesium and Symotion. This location makes a strong statement in the training of young talent. Of the 51 trainees, 49 start their careers at the headquarters in Holzminden, while two trainees get started in Braunschweig.

The large family of Symrise, Tesium and Symotion has not only been active in training specialists since yesterday. In fact, the company has been training young talent in technical, scientific and commercial professions for over 60 years. The training itself is anything but boring: it combines practical experience, academic content and exciting projects into a holistic concept.

Diverse training offerings

The new trainees start in 13 different professions. Here is an overview:

• Symrise: Chemikant/in, Chemielaborant/in, Fachkraft für Lebensmitteltechnik (Braunschweig), Industriekaufmann/frau, Bachelor of Business Administration (Duales Studium), Kaufmann/frau für Digitalisierungsmanagement.
• Tesium: Elektroniker/in für Automatisierungstechnik, Elektroniker/in für Betriebstechnik, Industriemechaniker/in Instandhaltung, Fachkraft für Schutz und Sicherheit.
• Symotion: Fachkraft für Lagerlogistik, Kaufmann/frau für Spedition und Logistikdienstleistung.

The head of training, Petra Brychcy, emphasizes how important practical projects and international exchange are. “Here, responsibility is assumed early on, teamwork is encouraged and real value creation processes are internalized,” says Brychcy. In order to give the new trainees a successful start, a three-day kick-off seminar took place in Fürstenberg from August 6th to 8th, 2025.

The seminar was an excellent opportunity to get a first impression of the company. Company presentations, safety at work, team formats and the first projects were on the program. Dr. Stephanie Coßmann, board member, welcomed the new talents and emphasized the importance of sound training. “We rely on our own young talent and offer development opportunities in an international environment,” she emphasized.
