Vintage car rally in Einbeck: A festival of memories on wheels!

The 10th classic car rally in the PS.speicher in Einbeck was an overwhelming event that took place today, July 13, 2025. More than 220 nostalgic vehicles rolled through the picturesque landscapes of the Weserbergland, the Nethetal and the Sollings, delighting both the participants and the numerous spectators. The Einbeck News editorial team followed the rally clearly and was even in the middle of it rather than just there, because they took part in a historic Citroën CX from 1985 and documented spectacular moments throughout the entire event.

The starting signal for the rally, for which many had enthusiastically prepared, was given at 10:01 a.m. The route led through charming towns such as Einbeck, Stadtoldendorf and Brakel, where spectators eagerly waved, clapped and cheered. The outstanding classic cars included an Elgin Long Tail Racer from 1917 and a Jaguar E-Type Series 1 from 1967, which caused wide eyes in the motorcade. When we arrived at the market square in Einbeck there was thunderous applause for all participants - a truly touching moment!

A feast for the senses

“An unforgettable day on wheels” was how the event was described, which not only celebrates the love of historic vehicles, but also promotes a sense of community among participants and spectators. The atmosphere was characterized by a lively exchange that expressed enthusiasm for automobiles. The special stages, in which the participants, among other things, had to pass through a light barrier at a given time and recognize various street signs, provided additional thrills.

Special features such as the passage over the Bilster Berg, often lovingly referred to as the “little Nordschleife”, made the rally a real experience that appealed to all the senses. The column's return journey led through beautiful landscapes and exciting controls such as driving backwards precisely over 60 centimeters, which required skill from all drivers.
