Kassel and southern Lower Saxony: Where the speed cameras are waiting this week!
In Kassel and southern Lower Saxony it is once again the time for speed controls. Police have announced a new round of speed measurements to improve road safety and reduce the speeding that often causes the deadliest accidents. From November 10th to 16th, 2025, mobile speed measuring devices will be used at various locations in the city of Kassel. It is important for drivers to pay closer attention and not press the accelerator pedal excessively.
The locations in Kassel where the mobile speed cameras are set up include Frankfurter Straße and Ihringshäuser Straße. But other streets such as Ahnatalstrasse and Hugo-Preuss-Strasse are also on the list. Meanwhile, permanently installed measuring systems at well-known points such as Wilhelmshöher Allee and the B83 are activated at regular intervals to prevent inattentive driving. The fixed systems are strategically placed in such a way that they increase traffic safety in particularly critical areas.
Checks in the area
But speed monitoring is not just limited to Kassel. Numerous speed cameras are also in use in the Göttingen district. On Monday, November 10th, drivers in places like Duderstadt, Hann. Münden and Gieboldehausen put to the test. In the coming days, controls will remain stubborn in Göttingen municipalities such as Rosdorf and Herzberg am Harz.
The control is just as comprehensive in the Northeim district, where controls are carried out in Dassel and Moringen, among other places, on Tuesday. The police also use a so-called enforcement trailer, which acts as a semi-stationary measuring system and increases surveillance effectiveness. It is therefore clear that speeding is systematically tracked in order to sustainably avoid accidents.
Legal disputes in the background
After Gruden lost a Nevada Supreme Court decision in May that ordered private mediation, a recent victory in the court could open new doors. A hearing of his case by the full panel could overturn the previous decision and potentially return Gruden to a successful career path. Interestingly, a win against the NFL could not only increase his market value, but also make his return as a coach in the NFL more likely, which is something the entire community is keenly interested in.
Whether in traffic control or in sports life, fate follows its own path for both drivers in Kassel and football fans, and it remains exciting to see how developments continue in both areas.
