When the sun rises over Desingerode on Thursday, July 17, 2025, it will be the starting signal for the SC Eichsfeld VR-Bank Summer Cup 2025. The first duel on the program is the exciting opening game between SV Unit Worbis and TSV Landolfshausen/Seulingen, which will be played on the local sports field. In Group B, SC Eichsfeld as well as the district league teams SV Moringen and SG TSV Aufbau 1952 Heiligenstadt are fighting for a place in the final.

The first games are scheduled for Thursday and Friday, while two of the first round games in both groups can celebrate on Sunday. The clash between TSV Nesselröden and SV Unit Worbis on Sunday, July 20th will be particularly interesting. The finals will officially take place on Sunday, July 27th, with an exciting supporting program.
A club with tradition
The SV Unit 1875 Worbis has a rich tradition. The famous club plays its home games in the Ohmbergstadion and the Sportpark am Wolfhagen, both of which have grass and artificial turf pitches. In total, the club has around 300 active members who are not only active in the men's league but also in various age groups. Young people are particularly important to them: “We attach great importance to the development of young talent,” emphasize the licensed trainers. In collaboration with the Eichsfeld youth support association and partner clubs such as SC Leinfelde and SG Birkungen, young people are also supported up to the association league. Since 2020, the seniors have formed a team with SV Unit 1896 Breitenbach, which is particularly strong in women's and girls' football.
