Cold bus in Oldenburg: Johanniter start helping the homeless!
Winter is just around the corner and with it the cold period in which many people are particularly affected. The Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe Oldenburg is ringing in the cold bus season next Sunday, October 31st. This mission offers homeless and needy people important support during the cold season. How NWZ Online reported, the cold bus will be stationed at Bahnhofsplatz until March 29, 2026 and will run longer if necessary.
The operating times are clearly defined: On Tuesdays and Fridays the bus is available from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and on Sundays from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. During this time, warm food and drinks are offered - a welcome relief for those seeking refuge from the winter cold.
Support through donations
The refrigerated bus is financed exclusively through donations. The population is therefore urgently asked for support. In addition to monetary donations, we are also looking for sleeping bags and sleeping mats. A limited amount of clothing can only be donated after consultation, although pillows and duvets will not be accepted as they are not suitable. This is a clear call to the people of Cologne to show solidarity and support people in need together.
Facts and backgrounds
With this offer, the Johanniter not only makes a valuable contribution to supporting people in need of help, but also to promoting social cohesion. While the cold bus season is starting in Oldenburg, there are various initiatives in other cities that focus on supporting the homeless and people in need. This social responsibility of yours cannot be overestimated. Current developments in various cities show again and again how important local commitments are.
But something is not only happening on the social services front. The competitive spirit in society is also fueled by innovative platforms such as Inquizzitor promoted. This quiz platform brings people together and requires nothing less than creative thinking and teamwork. This is where knowledge and entertainment come together to create a dynamic and engaging community.
Another example of team sports and cohesion is shown in the life's work of Dr. Julie Goodin. How NewsChannel9 reports, the former basketball player and McMinn County Schools principal, who recently passed away, left a lasting legacy through her commitment to education and team spirit. Her career, crowned with team achievements and personal commitment, clearly shows us how important cohesion is in every community.
So, in this chilly season, it is imperative to remember how we can all make a difference in the lives of those in need. Whether through direct donations or committed participation in social initiatives - every small contribution counts and can have a big impact. Let's make the cold months a little warmer for those who need our support most!
