New art project in Peine: Young talents show off their skills!
Something is happening in Peine! An exciting new project for creative minds between the ages of 12 and 20 starts on August 21st. The Peine district culture service office takes the initiative together with the young vhs of the Peine district adult education center. As part of this project, young artists have the opportunity to create their own works of art and present them live to an audience. regionalheute.de reports that the participants meet once a week in the studio of the committed painter Britta Ahrens during an eight-week workshop.
“Here is the opportunity to create and realize art yourself,” says Ahrens, who has her studio overlooking the market square, describing it as a lively place. Young girls and boys can work on their works in this creative atmosphere and enjoy exchanging ideas with like-minded people. They meet weekly on Thursdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., with three meetings per week planned during the fall holidays. Participation is free and open to everyone, regardless of previous experience - perfect for getting your hands on a brush for the first time!
paz-online.de adds that Ahrens has been offering painting courses since 2017 in which participants pursue their individual artistic goals. She lives and breathes art and wants to introduce young people to the joy of painting.
Creative development and exhibition
The highlight of the project will undoubtedly be the participants' own art exhibition on October 24th and 25th. Previously, they learned a lot about organizing an exhibition and were able to decide for themselves how they would like to present their works. Ahrens emphasizes that the exchange among young artists is particularly valuable. After the exhibition, the works of art will be on display in the open space of the Peine District Museum.
Ahrens is convinced that painting is one of the most beautiful and interesting activities. Not only creative highlights happen in her studio; There is also a lot of discussion about art and painting here. The relaxed atmosphere and inspiring conversations help participants to develop. She always brings fresh air into creative minds by initiating new techniques and projects, such as painting bag covers and clock discs.
Support for art projects
In this context, the importance of art projects for children and young people is highlighted. Initiatives like the project in Peine show how important it is to promote motor and creative skills in young people. kunstundschule.de emphasizes that such projects can strengthen self-confidence and create an appealing environment for everyone involved. Art not only helps in learning skills but also in personal development. The motto is: let art work, that is the language of sensitivity!
Anyone interested in the project can register by email at anmelde@kvhs-peine.de. Over the summer evenings, the young people can let their creativity run wild not only in Ahrens' studio, but also on the market square.
