HSG Schaumburg remains unbeaten: 29:19 win against Alfeld!

Yesterday there was handball madness again! HSG Schaumburg won the away game against SV Alfeld with 29:19 (13:10) and thus secured points six and seven in the regional league. A real reason for joy for coach Timm Dietrich, who praised the strong defense and goalkeeper Kjell Motzkus as the key to success.

The game started excitingly, as SV Alfeld was able to take a 3-1 lead right from the start. But the HSG quickly got their rhythm on the pitch and took the lead 9:6 in the 20th minute. Particularly noteworthy: Fynn Graafmann showed nerves of steel and converted two seven meters.

Dominance after halftime

With an offensive 3:2:1, the HSG made life difficult for the Alfelders. Coach Dietrich noted that the team produced too many missed throws before the break and the attack seemed a bit static. Despite these shortcomings, the HSG went into the half-time break with a solid 13:10.

After the break, HSG showed their full potential and went ahead with a 5-0 run to make it 21:12. Alfeld could no longer find a way to counter HSG's compact defense and ultimately had to settle for 19 goals. With only three backcourt players, the outside Marcel Rose and Niklas Mosch had to help more in the backcourt, but the team mastered this well.

The outlook for the next game

A look into the future: The next game against TvdH Oldenburg in Waltringhausen is on Saturday. The HSG would like to achieve its first home win of the season here. The fans can look forward to seeing how the team performs in the home arena.
