Semino Rossi fails in the hit boom: Christmas album flops!

There is currently a lot to talk about in the world of pop. The popular pop star Semino Rossi celebrated an appearance at Florian Silbereisen's “Schlagerbooom” on October 18, 2025. Together with Mickie Krause he presented the new title “What Please Was”. Despite the big stage and Silbereisen's support, Rossi was unable to achieve the chart positions he had hoped for with his new album "Blanca Navidad - White Christmas". [az-online] reports that the album, which was released on October 17, 2025, features 15 new Christmas songs and was recorded with the renowned City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.

However, the Christmas album did not reach the German top 100. In the official album charts from October 24, 2025, SSIO is at number one with “Alles oder nix”. David Gilmour follows in second place with “Luck And Strange” and Herbert Grönemeyer takes third place with “Von alles anders”. There is speculation that it is simply too early for Christmas songs before Halloween, which could explain the moderate sales figures. Perhaps this is the key to understanding why Rossi's single “Last Christmas” and the accompanying lyric video have only had limited success so far.

The appeal of festive music

But chances are good that the tide could turn next month. As November approaches, interest in festive music traditionally increases. Fans can look forward to more duets included in the album, including those with Andrea Berg and Michelle. These big-name collaborations could help the album break through when the time is right.

Rossi himself now has to ask himself what to do to increase interest in his work. It remains to be seen whether the coming weeks will provide a boost and whether people will be ready to prepare for the Christmas season.
