BAILEY ON THE ESCAPE: Fire brigade and animal search service are desperately searching!

A missing four-legged friend is causing a stir in Butjadingen: The dog named “Bailey” has been missing since Wednesday, July 16th. In an unfortunate incident, the six-month-old dog broke away from her owner at Eckwarder Altendeich near the upper fire. The reason for this was contact with an electric fence that was live. After this shock, Bailey fled towards the mudflats, which put the owner in a worrying situation.

The Eckwarden fire department was alerted at 1:42 p.m. and immediately deployed several teams to search on both sides of the dike in the direction of Tossens and Eckwarderhörne. Unfortunately the search was unsuccessful. The water level rose quickly, making the search significantly more difficult and ultimately leading to the interruption of operations. After consultation with the affected family, the Wesermarsch animal search service was also called in to provide additional support. NWZonline reports that…

Important information about the search

“Bailey” wears a gray harness with her name and phone number written on it. Anyone with information about the dog's whereabouts is asked to contact the Wesermarsch animal search service on 04731/22297. The more people in the area pay attention, the sooner Bailey may be able to return home.

As an additional tool for searching for missing animals, the Dogorama network has set up a platform that provides targeted information about lost dogs. Those affected can register their missing animals there and view the entries sorted by region. A handy feature makes it easy to report sightings or finds so everyone can help raise awareness of the animal. If dogs are found again, they must be reported either to the public order office or the lost property office (during the day) and to the police (at night). Alternatively, the four-legged friends can also be taken to the local animal shelter. Dogorama reports that…
