Ina Müller: Alcohol enjoyment and detox after album production!
In the vibrant world of entertainment, singer and presenter Ina Müller is causing a stir. On November 14, 2025 she will release her ninth studio album entitled “6.0”. What is particularly noteworthy is that Müller's creative processes while she was working on her album on the sunny island of Mallorca were characterized by intense alcohol consumption. This creative phase, in which 13 new songs were created, brought them further creatively, but alcohol was more of a blessing than a curse for them. “He influenced my creativity, but more than I would have liked,” says Müller.
Work on the new songs ran on a tight schedule. Müller and the composer Frank Ramond worked from morning to evening to perfect the songs. After this intensive phase, the artist undergoes an urgently needed detox phase in order to regain her strength. “I’m happy to be back home and not practicing day drinking anymore,” says Müller. This reflection shows how important it is to come down and take care of yourself after such invigorating but also challenging times.
The trend towards abstaining from alcohol
Participation in the documentary not only means a sacrifice for the protagonists, but also an opportunity for personal development. Dr. Matthias Riedl, who observed the participants' physical changes during the four-week experiment, explains: "Alcohol has many negative effects on the body that we cannot ignore." Psychologist Lisa Hauptmann also gives useful tips to make giving up easier and to analyze the psychological effects.
The documentary series will be available in the ARD media library from January 13th and will be shown on NDR television on January 13th and 14th at 9 p.m. There will also be an extensive focus on abstinence from alcohol in the ARD health program, which will be supplemented by Q&A sessions with experts and various informative formats.
Focus on health awareness
The social debate about alcohol and its risks is becoming increasingly important, because regular high consumption can massively increase the risk of cancer. Such issues are more present today than ever, especially in times when many are reassessing their own health. Initiatives such as “Dry January” and documentaries about abstaining from alcohol raise awareness and encourage many people to become active and question their way of life.
The developments surrounding Ina Müller and the ARD documentary show how society is increasingly concerned with the topic of alcohol and its influence on health. It remains exciting to see what positive impulses the trend towards alcohol abstinence will have, both for individuals and for society as a whole.
