Brawl over music box: 18-year-old attacks young people!
On Friday evening there was a turbulent incident at the Ihler Meer when an 18-year-old from Ihlow was involved in an argument with several young people. At the center of the dispute was a music box, which the young man violently demanded to be returned. During the altercation, he punched a 14-year-old owner in the face. However, the 18-year-old denies the allegations and says he was attacked himself, which brought the local police to the scene. The investigation has already begun and criminal proceedings have been initiated, as news.de reports.
Another crime occurred in Aurich, where a men's bike was stolen from outside an apartment building on Thursday between 5:00 p.m. and 5:10 p.m. The owner briefly took his eyes off the bike to get a lock. The police are asking any witnesses to come forward. A similar case occurred on Friday evening when a 24-year-old man from Großefehn was observed damaging a parked children's bicycle by throwing it onto the ground.
Another incident of violence
On Saturday morning, around 2:50 a.m., a 39-year-old from Aurich had his glasses torn from his face on Julianenburger Strasse. Three males who dressed up as convicts were involved. Similar to the previous incidents, the Aurich resident also filed a police report.
On Tuesday, October 28th, a black Opel Corsa was damaged on the right side of the vehicle in Hoheberger Weg. However, the person responsible immediately left without reporting the damage. The police are again reminding the public not to hesitate if they observe such incidents and to call 04941-6060.
Traffic accidents and drunk driving
A particularly worrying incident happened in Krummhörn, where a 21-year-old had an accident in her car on Saturday night. She lost control of her vehicle on a right-hand bend and landed in a ditch. A breath alcohol test revealed that she had a blood alcohol level of more than 1 per mille, which led to a blood test and the confiscation of her driver's license. According to the ADAC guidelines, relative inability to drive can be assumed from as low as 0.3 per mille.
The alcohol limits are clear: there is a strict alcohol ban of 0.0 per mille for novice drivers and those under 21. From 1.1 per mille it gets serious: the absolute inability to drive takes effect and the police can immediately revoke the driver's license. Penalties range from large fines to a driving ban, depending on the severity of the violation.
Overall, the current situation in Aurich shows that the police are active and are always calling on the population to help. Every tip can be crucial to increasing community safety and preventing further incidents.
